Power Rangers 2012: Samurai Sentai Shinkenger?

If no one heard yet, Bandai America already has plans for the future toy line, and it is said to be going back to the Japanese series, starting with Shinkenger.  But I have no idea if this means a Shinken adaptation, or if we're just getting the toy line. I'm not sure if I want to believe this though....BoA has been spewing us lies lately, especially with the whole "Disney is producing a Season 18 of Power Rangers and the Power Rangers Toy line will continue." Well yes, the toy line did continue, but no Season 18. Just reversionized MMPR, not that I'm complaining. If this is true, then I am happy, cause I was on the verge of spending LOTS of money on importing the Shinken-Oh....but if BoA is making a toy line of Shinkenger, and releases the Shinken-Oh, then I guess I can wait. Even if it does take two more years.

But seriously though, I honestly hope there's a new season. I miss Power Rangers a whole lot more than I expected :'(

  1. A lot can happen in two years. I say BoA is just getting ahead of themselves. And they have official labeled MMPRv2 as Power Ranger's "official" 18th season, as much as everyone else disagrees to this. In the eyes of BoA, MMPRv2 is a brand new season. While everyone else does not treat it as such. I think BoA's information is inaccurate.

Mega Purple, if I were you, I would by the Shinkenger toys now. Super Sentai merchandise can sell out rather quickly. If two years pass and nothing happens, getting the Shinkenger toys are going to be more expensive.

And even if Shinkenger made it to the states in two years. It might not get adapted into Power Rangers. It might just come to the states the way it is (most unlikely though). Or, Shinkenger might get it's own separate adaptation (not all adaptations need to have the Power Rangers title). Or, it might just simply be the toy line.

But anyway, I'm ignoring what BoA has to say until they show some proof. REAL proof.

  2. MMPRv2 labeled as Season 18? I don't buy it. I think of it as a re airing of MMPR, but with more special effects and such. I just want to know whats after MMPRv2, seeing how its only getting 32 episodes.

Well you see, about the Shinkenger toys. The thing is, I really don't have the money for importing them. If I did, I would most definitely get them now. And if BoA is planning to release Shinkenger toys, then I might get that instead. But yeah, anything could happen in two years...so I might take your advice.

From what I've read on RangerBoard, Disney doesn't want to do the actual production of Power Rangers anymore. They'd prefer licensing the show out to another studio to make for them, and pay the production costs. Which I think would be a great idea, because maybe Power Rangers won't be as bad and maybe the Disney hate will stop....if not, won't be as bad as it is now.

  3. MMPRv2 is going to last just 32 eps? That's new news to me. That's so weird. Why does BoA release toys of Zedd and the White Ranger? And what are they going to do during 2010? If they have plans to release Shinkenger toys, why wait TWO years? I'm so confused. LOL XD

  4. You didn't hear? One of the reversionists for MMPRv2 has a Twitter, and they announced that only 32 episodes will air. In fact, they're skipping some episodes, like "Power Ranger Punks," "Peace, Love, and Woe," and "Dark Warrior," and going straight to the "Green With Evil" saga right after "No Clowning Around." Who knows what else they're skipping, or where they're stopping at.

Why BoA released toys of Zedd and White Ranger? Cause BoA is retarded. xP They obviously don't know anything...after saying that, I'm starting to have second thoughts on BoA releasing Shinkenger toys.

I think that they're waiting two years is because they think that Disney is doing all three seasons of MMPR. Maybe they want to release a toy of everything seen out of the show...which I really want the Thunder Megazord to be released since I never had one. I heard that the Dragon Zord will FINALLY be released sometime in 2011, and it only takes 17 years to make one.

  7. When it comes to a franchise, especially Power Rangers, all BoA cares about is money. I think they're doing this so that people don't have to import the Shinkenger toys?

  9. Anonymous, I can guarantee to you that if Shinkenger makes it over to the states as a toyline, they will be 4 in like MMPR. But hopefully Shinken-Oh will be great, like the MMPR Megazord, best toy out of the whole toyline! :D

  14. I hear you guys on the ranger size. But I have heard that the figures will indeed be 4 in. tall. The image of the megazord looks good, but the dragon looks disapointing. and there is no origami mode for the zords.
